CHF Session #08 - Water Heritage of Chennai

While the water heritage in Chennai is historic and rich, it doesn’t receive the equivalent degree of celebration or preservation. Over the past few years, the state of water resources and their management has taken a drastic turn and the city has been witness to challenging circumstances and dire lessons.

Through the 8th session of the Chennai Heritage Forum, we aim to learn and discuss the water heritage of Chennai with the aid of the City of 1000 Tanks work and experience, including the role that the community has to play in taking care of this depleting natural heritage.

We engaged in insightful discussions about the water heritage that we’ve inherited and the role that we can play in ensuring their maintenance, preservation and conservation.
