CHF Session #10 - Chennai's Ecology & Biodiversity
Rivers, wetlands, forest areas and the coast — Chennai’s ecosystem comprises a wealth of natural resources that make for a fascinating study of the ecology present. Though rich and thriving, it is not known to many. It derives its classification from Sangam literature as well, making it historically significant. Green areas that are tucked away in small pockets across the city have earned the tag of ‘eco-spots’ and offer a glimpse into the local biodiversity. But, are you aware of the native flora and fauna found in them?
We joined Palluyir Trust, an initiative that believes in place and nature-based outdoor education for developing human and ecological values.
