In Chennai, popularly known for its beaches and temples, the spotlight falls largely on the regularly visited ‘touristy’ places, failing to acknowledge the vast and diverse offerings that the city has. A well-detailed tourism plan will help transform the perception of tourists and enable increased awareness and access to other places of equal or greater significance and value.

 

Furthermore, it will also help divert necessary resources to build a robust system that can handle the inflow of tourists and their requirements in a sustainable manner. This plan will also take into consideration the tangible and the intangible aspects that the city holds within.
