Madras Inherited
The vision for Madras Inherited streams from a larger vision for Heritage Awareness, Preservation and Conservation in the city. An entrenched passion for architecture, history and heritage led to the formation of the initiative. It was named Madras Inherited as it looks at the city's heritage as something shared and inherited by the city's occupants.
We work in the following areas:
1. Cultural Heritage Tourism, predominantly conducting physical and virtual heritage walks around the city
2. Undertaking Architectural Heritage projects
3. Providing Heritage Education for schools
4. Conducting Workshops for colleges and community
5. Curating and executing Community Outreach Programmes that activate public spaces
6. Undertaking Research in the field of heritage.
Madras Inherited is a Registered Trust (M I Trust, 164 of 2021).
